Rockaway Beach is located along the scenic Oregon Highway 101.

The McMillan Creek Reservoir project in Rockaway Beach proposed a huge challenge. The engineer approached us in March 2008 about getting a two million gallon reservoir built and on line by July 4th. The city had an emergency situation; they expected over 12,000 visitors to their 4th of July events and not enough water to support them all. With a 3-1/2 month timeframe, we worked six days a week with two crews to meet the tight schedule. This tank was the first glass-fused-to-steel tank built in the United States with double skin sheet technology being used on the two bottom tank rings. This technology is used for large tanks in high seismic zones to give added strength to the tank sheets.
